Recipe: Strawberry Sugar Pancake Topping (+ perfect pancake recipe)

Forget syrap, eat strawberries!

This strawberry topping is so delicious and once you put in on your pancakes you'll feel like you've been transported back to a sweet little 60s breakfast diner.

Strawberries (don't worry if they aren't super fresh. In fact, if they are mushy, it works a little better)

Step 1:

Wash all your strawberries, then remove the ends and slice them into thin pieces.

Step 2:

Place all the slices into a bowl that has a lid. Sprinkle with sugar until all strawberries are evenly coated.

Step 3:

Cover the bowl and shake that baby!

Step 4:

Your mixture should be nice and juicy and sugary, like this:

Step 5:

Place on top of your pancakes and enjoy!

And now that you know how to make this awesome strawberry topping, I want to share with you the perfect recipe for pancakes I found recently. Earlier this year I tried the pancake recipe off the back of the Great Scot Flour bag I bought from the grocery store. I normally never try the recipes on the products but I figured why the heck not!? Turns out, it's an awesome and easy recipe and makes delicious pancakes!

Recipe: Great Scot Pancakes

1 cup flour
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup milk
1 Tbls sugar

Step 1:
Mix Flour and sugar together. Carve out a hole in the center.
Step 2:
Add the egg and milk and beat until smooth.
Step 3:
If the mix seems too liquidy, add more flour. Too thick, add more milk.
Step 4:
Plop these babies onto a hot griddle. Cook and enjoy!

Enjoy your breakfast!
